Microplastics Lab

Microplastics from water and sediment samples are analyzed based on their size, shape and polymer type. The laboratory is fully equipped with a stereomicroscope OLYMPUS SZX10 and an FTIR-ATR Agilent Cary 630, which is expanded with a CZITEK Survey IRTM, microanalysis accessory. Particles of sizes as low as 80 μm can be accurately identified. The laboratory applies clean techniques and contamination control during all analytical steps.
