Georgia Kambouri is the technician of sedimentraps laboratory in Geology department of the Oceanography  Institution in Hellenic Centre for Marine Research.
She assumed her duties in November 1995.
 
Her main objective is preliminary treatment of the  sedimentraps samples, removal of swimmers, subsampling, and preparing filters for the various analyses. She is also responsible for the determination of opal (biogenic silica).

She is also educated in coccometric analysis and calculation of sediments and to the preparation of  XRD and XRF sediment  samples.
