Stelios Iliakis is a technician of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research.
He assumed his duties in the Institute of Oceanography in April 2002.
His main objective is Trace Metals analysis in seawater and sediment. 

Scientific Activities: 

    • Chemical analysis in seawater and sediment. 

Trace Elements:
Sample Preparation and Measure the concentration or isotopic composition of samples on the Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP -MS)  

Trace Elements:
Sample Preparation and Measure the concentration of samples on the Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS)

Total Organic Carbon (TOC):
Measure the concentration of total organic Carbon on the TOC Analyzer.

    • Radiochemical analysis in seawater and sediment:

Sample Preparation and Measure the total a-decay of sediment samples on the alpha ray detector.

Sample Preparation and Measure the gamma decay of water on the Germanium gamma ray detector.

    • Participation in Sampling Missions

Sampling Missions (with the R/V AEGAEO, R/V FILIA, local ships) in field works, executing work of collection of samples.
