Erasmia Kastanidi has been working at the institute of Oceanography since 2018 as an inter- and transdisciplinary Research Associate. She holds a Ph.D. in Rural Geography, an M.Res in Environment and Development an M.Sc in Coastal Science and Management and a B.Sc. in Environmental Science. Her research focuses on the sustainability of human environment interactions within coastal and marine social-ecological systems, and has experience working in Europe and Asia, using participatory and mixed research methods. She is also interested in promoting system thinking and enhancing ocean literacy and community engagement through the development of educational games and activities
