Ms. Mylona Kyriaki is a Technologist in Natural Resources and Environmental Engineer with a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from the Chemistry Department of the University of Crete. The last 5 years she has been involved in the implementation of research projects such as IDMA, GLAUKI, JERICO NEXT TNA AGREEMENT MOCo Sea Pass, TAPAS-IO - Tools for Assessment and Planning of Aquaculture Sustainability, Aquaculture and Marine Environment Interaction, AQUANANO. She is responsible for the operation, deployment and retrieval of passive samplers for the determination of organic pollutants in the water column, sediment and atmosphere. As a laboratory technician she deals with Chemical Processes in the Water Column: Dissolved Organic Matter, Chlorophyll and Nutrients. Determination of dissolved oxygen. Preparation of samples, organisms and sediment, for the determination of trace elements and metals in a Clean Room laboratory, measurements of metal concentrations in sediments and marine organisms using ICP-MS. Identification of As in marine organisms by LC-ICPMS. She also participated in the Development of method for the Quantification of Silver Nanoparticles (AgNPs) with Single Particles ICP-MS as well as the use of liquid chromatography –electrospray- tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS / MS, HPLC-ESI-MS / MS) for the determination biocides, antimicrobial, antiparasitic compounds. She organizes and conducts field sampling and participates in mesocosm experiments. The results of her work have been presented in 9 scientific papers.
