Nikolaos Katsiaras: BSc in Marine Sciences and MSc in Coastal Zone Management (Univ. of Aegean). He has been working as a Research Assistant in Zoobenthos Lab (Institute of Oceanography, HCMR) since 2009 and he is a PhD candidate in the University of the Aegean. His research interests are polychaetes taxonomy, benthic macrofauna ecology and human impacts. He has published 10 peer-review scientific articles, including one monograph on polychaete species checklist for Greek waters. He has participated in over than 25 research projects (field sampling, lab analyses, data analysis and interpretation), including the National Monitoring Networks of WFD and MSFD.
