Dr. Stelios Petrakis is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research, with a PhD in Geology – Coastal Oceanography, BSc in Geology and MSc in Oceanography. During the last 10 years, he has participated in 13 European and National Research Programs as research associate (of HCMR, NKUA and FORTH institutes) and has co-authored over 20 scientific papers in journals of the SCI and over 50 referred papers in proceedings of International Conferences. His main research topics include geomorphology, coastal oceanography, sediment dynamics, shallow marine geophysics and climate-change related issues.
