Paraskevi (Vivian) Louizidou is a Marine Biologist specializing in benthic communities' taxonomy, with extensive experience in marine ecosystem research and conservation. Since 2015, she has worked at the Hydrobiological Station of Rhodes, focusing on benthic invertebrates and algae identification, as well as contributing to sea turtle conservation and marine mammal protection efforts. Her research interests include the impact of pollution on marine ecosystems and the protection of vulnerable species. Vivian is passionate about environmental education and actively engages in programs aimed at raising awareness of marine biodiversity threats. She also has expertise in eco-tourism, social media marketing, and educational program management.
Vivian holds a Master’s degree in Oceanography and Coastal Zone Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, both from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has worked as a tutor for marine biology classes and labs, and in various research fellowships, including those focused on environmental monitoring and benthic fauna studies. Vivian’s skills encompass laboratory work, data analysis using statistical software, and scuba diving. Her contributions to marine science are also reflected in several publications, including research on marine biodiversity and the environmental impact of human activities on marine ecosystems.
